During the first women’s march, I took along sliced sweet reinforcements. While some people carried signs, I toted along a tin of @savorysimple Brownies. My motivations for marching might have been different this year but our small band of marchers was largely the same— one of them a junior in high school whose love is film and whose aim is to be the second woman director to win an Oscar. For her pluck and possibility, to make tomorrow a more level field than today for her and countless other girls, I marched, but I did miss last years brownies.
